Australian Natural Hide Tanning DVD

In this DVD we explain the ancient art of natural tanning using only natural ocuring products. We show you step-by-step how to tan your hide leaving the fur/hair on giving you a great mat, bed cover, wall hang or even beautiful inlays for your craft project. 

After showing you step by step how to keep the fur/hair on your hide we also show you how to remove the fur/hair giving you the traditional buck skin that is desired when making carry bags, clothes, mocasins and any other project you desire. You will be shown step-by-step how to tan a hide using three different methods of tanning including the traditional brain tanning method. 

Because of the hot humid conditions of where Gordon lived, he researched and found a method that is suited for hot and cold climates without the disadvantages associated with traditional brain tanning. 

Using the preferred method shown in the DVD, you will eliminate the problems of brains going off in hot weather and the risk of getting an infection from sour brains. 

Gordon has researched, found and improved on a different method of tanning which eliminates the undesirable smell of rotting brains and gives you the same soft skins we all desire.
